CITB Consensus Deadline

The Consensus process enables employers that pay the CITB Levy to have a say on its future. Following publication of Build UK’s ‘Levy In ‐ Skills Out’ proposal, members confirmed they support the principle of paying a Levy but have concerns over how it is currently being used. CITB has now set out its response to our proposal, suggesting that much of what members are asking for is being delivered.

However, Build UK’s CITB Reform Steering Group feels that the £210 million raised by the Levy could be used more effectively to deliver better outcomes, including recognised standards for all construction occupations, a nationwide delivery system for training and qualifications, and an effective apprenticeship system.
 
CFA members are requested to submit their views on the continuation of the Levy via Build UK’s Consensus Survey by next Friday 30 July.
