CLC Leads CO2nstruct Zero

The Construction Leadership Council (CLC) has published CO2nstruct Zero, a cross‐industry programme to drive carbon out of the construction sector as part of reaching the UK’s net zero target by 2050. With a focus on transport, buildings and construction activity, CO2nstruct Zero identifies nine priorities to enable everyone in the supply chain to play their part, and the CLC will be:
- Developing a single overarching programme which increases the impact of the sector
- Setting and reporting on measurable targets
- Championing the policy changes required
- Signposting towards initiatives industry can support
- Engaging with Government on showcasing the sector at COP26.
The CLC will also be joining the Race to Zero on behalf of the sector and is encouraging companies of all sizes to become ‘Business Champions’ and share their net zero activities against the nine priorities.
