Government Funding for Energy Transformation

The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy together with Innovate UK invites CPA members to apply for the Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (IETF) Phase 1: Spring 2021 competition window until Wednesday 14 July 2021.The competition will provide £40 million grant funding towards the costs of:

• Deployment of mature energy efficiency technologies that improve industrial process energy efficiency and reduce energy demand.
• Feasibility and engineering studies for projects deploying mature energy efficiency technologies or deep decarbonisation technologies.

BEIS and Innovate UK are hosting a final stakeholder clinic before the deadline to help and support businesses interested in applying for IETF funding; click here for details.  In addition, a Technology Marketplace has been created to help applicants with pre-screened videos showing technologies eligible for the IETF competition and offering manufacturers ideas and contacts for technologies that could be deployed on their industrial sites.
