Ahead of Mental Health Awareness Week, which starts next Monday 10 May, the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) has published a ‘Talking Toolkit' containing practical advice on preventing work-related stress. Stress, depression and anxiety are collectively the second biggest cause of work-related illness in the industry, and the toolkit is aimed at helping businesses to establish regular conversations with their workforce around these issues and to find solutions.
The Lighthouse Club has also launched its biggest ever campaign, ‘Help Inside the Hard Hat', and published a wide range of resources to support mental health.
