The CFA Annual General Meeting is taking place on Tuesday 13 August 2024, at Coombe Abbey Hotel, Brinklow Road, Coventry, West Midlands CV3 2AB, commencing at 10.30am.
We are delighted to announce that our Keynote Speaker opening the event is Iain Mcilwee, CEO, Finishes and Interiors Sector. Iain is a Materials Engineer whose journey in construction started in a scaffolding yard in Hanwell in 1995. He has worked in and around construction in a number of roles including CEO of the British Woodworking Federation, Director of the Fire Door Inspection Scheme and serving as a non-Exec Director of FENSA and Vice Chair of the Construction Products Association. Iain is currently CEO of Finishes and Interiors Sector, the trade body for the £10 billion fit-out, interiors and finishing sector. In addition to his role at FIS, Iain sits on the Steering Board of the City of London Corporation’s Skills for a Sustainable Skyline Taskforce and is a Director of SKA Rating Limited. Iain has been a FIR Ambassador since 2021.
Iain’s presentation on the day will include the renewed focus on competence across the built environment, the CLC Installer Competence Programme, how a Sector approach is helping to deliver change and what they are doing in the finishes and interiors sector.
