The Construction Products Association

The Construction Products Association (CPA) represents the UK's manufacturers and distributors of construction products and materials. The sector directly provides jobs for 313,000 people across 21,000 companies and has an annual turnover of more than £50 billion.

The CPA acts as the leading voice to promote and campaign for this vital UK industry and fulfils a unique role, championing its members’ interests across both the construction and manufacturing industries.

The issues impacting its members are varied and complex.  With the support and guidance of its main board and wider membership, they focus their expertise, time and resources on the key issues where they can best achieve their strategic objectives: gaining greater recognition for construction product manufacturers and distributors; helping grow its members’ businesses and reducing regulatory risks and burden.

Construction products form and define our ‘built environment’, enabling our everyday life.

CPA

The construction products industry creates the products and materials necessary to build and refurbish homes, offices, shops, roads and railways, schools, hospitals and everything in-between.  It’s the roof over your head and the floor under your feet; the walls in every room together with the insulation and heating systems that keep those rooms comfortable; it’s bathroom fixtures and kitchen worktops; pipes that bring water and sealants to prevent leaks; the doors to lock and the windows to see out; it’s the foundations, frames and fabric for every building, every street and every structure around you; and, the paints to colour it all.

All of this is produced and supplied here in the UK by a highly skilled, innovative workforce using advanced, sustainable methods.

CFA members, through its membership of the CPA, have access to expertise on economics, technical, regulatory, sustainability and external affairs knowledge and experience in both manufacturing and construction; as well as expertise in market research and construction industry forecasting; developing and interpreting relevant policies, regulations and standards; measuring and reporting of sustainability performance; and providing expert technical advice. We have a variety of CPA documents and publications available to members. These can be viewed and downloaded from the CFA Members Area. CFA manufacturer and distributor members can also register directly on the CPA website to access to the CPA's full library of documents and information. If you are not already registered with CPA it will prompt you to create a user login on your first visit.
