Employers Contribution Apprentices aged 16-24
£0 (0%) of the funding band. No cost for apprenticeship training
provider fees

Apprentices aged 25+
£850-£1,000 (5%) of the funding band. Paid monthly over the duration
of the apprenticeship
Government Contribution Apprentices aged 16-24
£17,000-£20,000 (100%). Covers all training provider fees

Apprentices aged 25+
£16,150-£19,000 (95%). of the funding band) Covers most of the training
provider fees
CITB Grant payments £2,500 per year attendance grant. Paid quarterly through the
apprenticeship

£3,500 achievement grant. Paid on successful completion of the End Point
Assessment (EPA)

80% of accommodation costs reimbursed. For apprentices who require
overnight stays to attend training
Additional Government £1,000 for hiring an apprentice aged 16–18
Incentive payments (or 19–24 with an EHCP or who is a care leaver)

£2,000 for SMEs hiring an apprentice aged 16–24 (from October 2026)
£3,000 for hiring an apprentice aged 18–24 who has been on Universal
Credit for 6+ months (from June 2026)
Notes:
The Universal Credit incentive (£3,000) is paid directly to employers by DWP
in two instalments
All other incentive payments are claimed by the training provider and paid to
the employer
Summary Minimum employer contribution: £0–£1,000 per apprentice

Total available funding: £27,150–£37,000 per apprentice
